Mitchum Real Estate is proud to announce that Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has reappointed Johnny Mitchum of Maumelle to the Arkansas Economic Development Council. His new term will expire January 14, 2030.

The reappointment continues Johnny’s service alongside Arkansas leaders, business professionals, and community advocates working to create economic opportunities throughout the Natural State.
“My cup runneth over with gratitude to Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders for reappointing me to the Arkansas Economic Development Council,” Johnny said. “Arkansas is experiencing tremendous momentum, and I am honored to continue supporting the people, communities, and businesses that make our state such an exceptional place to live, work, invest, and grow.”
Johnny recognized the leadership of Governor Sanders, Arkansas Secretary of Commerce Hugh McDonald, and Arkansas Economic Development Commission Executive Director Clint O’Neal. He also highlighted economic development taking place across Arkansas, including steel production in Mississippi County, the continued strength of Northwest Arkansas, the emerging lithium industry in Southwest Arkansas, the Port of Little Rock, thriving communities such as Batesville and Jonesboro, and the state’s expanding outdoor-recreation economy.
The Arkansas Economic Development Commission’s mission reflects the work taking place throughout the state:
“At AEDC, we know economic advancement doesn’t happen by accident. We work strategically with businesses and communities to create strong economic opportunities, making Arkansas the natural choice for success.”
“That mission is being accomplished through our great leaders, our remarkable resources, and, most importantly, the people of Arkansas,” Johnny said.
Johnny brings decades of commercial real estate, financial, auction, negotiation, and community leadership experience to his continued service on the Council. Through Mitchum Real Estate and Keller Williams Commercial, he remains committed to advancing opportunities for property owners, investors, businesses, and communities throughout Arkansas.
